How do I sort an Airtable json file and display it in a table?

I'm trying to display a high score list that is stored in an Airtable. I can connect to the Airtable and display it (kinda) like this:

*service: highscore
	*path: /highscore
	*send: {"maxRecords" -> 10}
	*method: GET
	*success
		>> response = it["records"]
	*error
		An error occurred!

>> i = 0
*while: i < response.size
	*html
		<table>
		<tr>
			<td> {response[i]["fields"]["Name"]} </td>
			<td> {response[i]["fields"]["Score"]} </td>
		</tr>
		</table>
	>> i = i + 1

However, I'd like to sort the collection to get the top 10 scorers, but can't figure out the right way to sort both score and name simultaneously.

I'd also like to know how to display this content in a name table with Name and Score headers, but can't quite figure out the right way.

How do I create a chatbot that can hold a conversation?

I'd like to be able to embed chatbots (a few different ones) that users can have a dialogue with. Ideally, they would have a certain number of conversation turns and then be required to respond to a question. I've been trying to create code that would take previous GPT responses and user inputs as part of the 'payload' for another API call, but I can't work it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can I format numerics nicely with commas?

I have a survey with programmatically generated questions, and I want to display nicely formatted numbers to participants. Do you know of a way to do this?

Here's an example

Desired output

Tom gave Jerry $500
Tom gave Jerry $100
Tom gave Jerry $50,000
Tom gave Jerry $10,000

Current output

Tom gave Jerry $500
Tom gave Jerry $100
Tom gave Jerry $50000
Tom gave Jerry $10000

Current input

>> numbers = [1000, 100000]
>> ratios = [0.5, 0.1]
>> questions = []

*for: n in numbers
	*for: r in ratios
		>> questions.add([n*r])

*for: q in questions
	Tom gave Jerry *${q}*

Thank you!

So far, I have tried using the
.text
method, and also tried generating a
collection
object that iterates through the text of the number, adding commas (but then I can't convert it back to a string)

Is user_input_chatgpt the only command I can use to save information to send to ChatGPT?

I would like to have different variables I can use to send to ChatGPT.

Use case: I ask my users to answer a question, and then send that question to chatgpt using the user_input_chatgpt command. However, I would like to ask a follow up question, save that with a different command, and then send it again to ChatGPT.

Is this possible? When I try now it says that I have already used the *label: API Call earlier in the program.

How can I save a series of associations with a *for loop?

I want the user to first list what activities they do in a day and then specify how many hours per day they spend on each activity. In the end, I want to end up with a variable that looks something like this:

>>activities = {"Exercise" -> 4, "Watching TV" -> 9, "Travel" -> 15}

But, of course, both the key and the relation are defined by the user.

The way I've gone about it now is this:

*question: Write any regular activities here
	*type: text
	*multiple
	*placeholder: Travel, exercise, watching TV...
	*save: activities

*for: activity in activities
	*question: How many hours you spend *per week* on {activity} on average?
		*type: number

I don't know how to save their answer to that last question as a relation to the first, and I can't find anything about it in the manual. Any help would be much appreciated!

HTML/CSS classes styling has no effect

Hi! I can't seem to get HTML/CSS classes styling to work in my quizzes. Even the example code provided in the documentation doesn't seem to work correctly. The header shows up as normal text without the color, size, or font-weight specifications. The only specifier that seems to work when I add it in is font-family. What am I missing here?

How do I randomize the order of clickable components and set the click to run another program?

Let's say I have the following, which will successfully randomize the order of clickable components. However, clicking the component does not run the next program, it just gets stuck in a loop.

*randomize: 2
	*component
		*group
			*component
				*classes: bg-info
				*image: https://i.stack.imgur.com/WFy1e.jpg
					*caption: cats
				*click
					>> preferred_image = "Cat"
					*program:  second_program

		*group
			*component
				*classes: bg-info
				*image: https://i.stack.imgur.com/WFy1e.jpg
					*caption: Family or dog?
				*click
					>> preferred_image = "Dog"
					*program: second_program

What's the right way of doing this?

Also, if I put any content BELOW this structure, that content will be displayed. I'd like everything under randomize to be a self-contained page, but I'm not sure how to do that.

How to make a value get stored in a column of the CSV file that I choose dynamically?

I am creating a survey where my users have to give their ratings of a service on different categories (e.g., overall experience, ease of use, promptness, etc.) The survey has a question with *multiple where users can rate additional categories that they choose:

*while: enterAnotherCategory = 1
	*question: What would you like to rate?
		*save: category

	*question: How would you rate the {category} of this service?

  When I look at the CSV file, all the ratings for the additional categories appear in the same column, with answers separated by a pipe (|). Is there a way to save each rating to a separate column?

How to ensure at least one checkbox is selected? (within a FOR loop)

Hi all,

I want to make sure the user selects at least one option of a checkbox question.
The trick is that the checkbox is inside a for loop.

The simple scenario is if we ought to ask the user's favourite vacation spot (single answer) and then ask in which seasons she likes to go there (checkbox).
However, to my understanding, a checkbox-type question allows blank answer (i.e.: no alternative selected).
Thus, if I wanted to enforce the selection of at least one alternative, I'd check the answer size and use label and goto to send the user back to the question with a message. The user cannot proceed until she selects at least one alternative.

Here's a sample code.

>>selection_warning = 0
*header: Single Selection
*question: What's your favourite vacation spot?
	*save: vacation_spot
	Beach
	Mountain
	City

*label: season_selection
*if: selection_warning = 1
	*html
		<p style="color:red; font-style:italic;">Please, select a season.</p>

*question: In which seasons do you like to go to the *{vacation_spot}*?
	*save: seasons
	*type: checkbox
	Summer
	Spring
	Winter
	Fall

*if: seasons.size=0
	>>selection_warning = 1
	*goto: season_selection

In *{seasons}* you like going to the *{vacation_spot}*.
>>selection_warning = 0

Now, let's say that I want to allow multiple selections for the favourite vacation spots.
Then, I'd like to loop over each selected vacation spot to know the preferred seasons for each spot.
However, the for loop doesn't allow me to use a *goto (understandably).

Here's an example:

>>selection_warning = 0
*header: Multiple Selection - For Loop
*question: Which vacation spots do you like?
	*save: vacation_spots
	*type: checkbox
	Beach
	Mountain
	City

>>spot_seasons = {}

*for: spot in vacation_spots
	--*label: season_selection
	*if: selection_warning=1
		*html
			<p style="color:red; font-style:italic;">Please, select a season.</p>

	*question: In which seasons do you like to go to the *{spot}*?
		*save: seasons
		*type: checkbox
		Summer
		Spring
		Winter
		Fall

	*if: seasons.size=0
		>>selection_warning = 1
		--*goto: season_selection
		-- How can I make sure the user selects at least one checkbox?

	>>spot_seasons[spot] = seasons

*for: spot,season in seasons
	In *{season}* you like going to the {spot}.

Then, the question is: How to enforce that each checkbox question inside the loop has at least one selection?
Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Is there a direct URL for the CSVs containing Guided Track survey data?

I'd like to be able to read in a GT data file directly within R, saving me the hassle of downloading a CSV locally and putting it in the right folder.

Is there any way to get a direct link to the GT CSV, or automate the process of reading in data
via R?

I've tried something like:

download.file(url = "https://www.guidedtrack.com/programs/17783/csv", destfile = "test.csv")

Embed if statements under question answers

I want to be able to do something like this, where I embed if statements under answers that check to see if certain conditions are met.

*question: Do you agree with this?
	Agree
		*if: sex = "Male"
		    		{reject_message}
		    		*quit
	Disagree
		*if: sex = "Female"
		    		{reject_message}
		    		*quit
	No Opinion
		{reject_message}
		*quit
	*save: beliefs
	*throwaway

It doesn't seem like this is possible... The code runs, but none of the reject conditions are getting triggered, even though they should be. Is it possible to do this? What's the easiest way to achieve something similar?

(I'm trying to avoid three big if statements)

How to create a matrix of questions?

I'd like to create a survey that contains a matrix questionnaire on a single page with several questions in the left column and a multiple-choice response scale on the right.

For example:

Question 1 | {Option A} {Option B} {Option C}
Question 2 | {Option A} {Option B} {Option C}
Question 3 | {Option A} {Option B} {Option C}
Question 4 | {Option A} {Option B} {Option C}

Is this possible to achieve in Guided Track? Thank you.

Get a unique ID for user?

I want to use an API (Gelato) that asks for a unique order ID. I could generate a random number, but if I get unlucky, two users might be given the same number.

Can I access a unique user/program run ID?

Or have a variable which is shared across all runs of the program that I could increment on each run?

Possible to create a Dashboard?

I’d like to create a tab on navigation where the user can go and see answers to saved questions.

For instance: The program prompts user to follow a series of questions to build a sports team.
The user answers question with a person’s name who will fill a role on the team.

Once done, the user can click a navigation item (Dashboard) where they can see all the team members names. The names of each team member are “clickable” and the user can add more information about them: weight, height, etc.

Persisting text/image below each page (footer)

Hi all!

I was wondering if it is possible to easily set a persistent footer. I.e. a small text below each page that is kept throughout the program.

My use case is that I'd like to add some information such as "Developed by ABC" at the bottom of every page. The idea is for the text to be inobtrusive (e.g. smaller font) and ideally below the buttons. It would be perfect if it accepted images, but text would be already fantastic!

I know there is
*maintain
, but I found it to be too invasive as it goes above the text so the user has to read it each and every time.

I though of doing manually, but my program has several pages and I'd have to radically change the structure of the code, adding a
*page
for each page with question. Moreover, apparently I cannot add anything below a
*button
.

Maybe I'm missing something. I'd be extremely grateful for any ideas or suggestions.

Thanks!

I'm wondering if it's possible, within a GT survey, to record a participant's audio. I'd like to have some text question, and then give participant's the opportunity to record audio from their microphone as a response.

Presumably this would require embedding some custom javascript, but I'm not quite sure about how I would do this.

.erase and .add is removing/adding elements in more than one collection

Hello, community!

I'm using the new .erase feature and found an odd behaviour. Maybe it's me.

The scenario is that I'm asking a checklist question with the option to answer "Others". If the user selects that, it opens a *multiple type of answer for the user to add his other options.

Thus, I'd like to have 3 collections:

One with the original selection (including "others")

One with what the user added in the *multiple question

One consolidated collection, but without the "others" element in it.

Thus, what I tried, is to create a new collection based on the original one. Erasing the "others" element and adding the "others" collection. Here's an example:

*question: Which letter do you like?
*throwaway
*type: checkbox
*save: results_original
A
B
C
Others

*if: "Others" in results_original
	*question: Which other letters do you like?
		*throwaway
		*multiple
		*save: results_other

Original *before* erase from full: {results_original}

>>results_full = results_original
>>results_full.erase("Others")
>>results_full.add(results_other)

Original *after* erase from full: {results_original}
Other: {results_other}
Full: {results_full}

However, what I found is that the results_original collection also don't have the "others" element in it. Here's a sample result.

Original before erase from full: A, B, Others

Original after erase from full: A, B, X, Y
Other: X, Y
Full: A, B, X, Y

I find this odd, because I'm applying the .erase to the results_full collection, but it seems to be changing the results_original as well.

Perhaps the = assignation doesn't create a new list with just the values, but assigns another name to the same list?
Any help or insights here would be greatly appreciated!

How to customise a PDF based on GT user answers?

Hi community!

In my GT program (as probably many) the user answers a few questions and receives recommendations based on her answers.

For example, if a person answered A, send (or produce) a pdf explaining why the answer was right. If the answer was X, send a PDF explaining why the answer was wrong.

The recommendations are long, so right now I'm sending an email with a link to a personalized Guided Track program. This way, the user can access it in the future.

However, a few users asked to receive their information as an PDF to be able to print their recommendations.

Is there any way that's possible? Programatically personalize a PDF based on GT parameters?
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,
I am using GT as a HTML embed on another website. When I start GT, I send data from the website that GT is embedded in to GT via a Javascript event. Among the data is also the location where the user last left off in GT (I know GT also tracks a returning user's last location, but I am imagining if the user logs in with another browser/device). In the case a location from last time is existing, I am using goto and reset to jump to that location.

That works, however when I try to answer another question the survey doesn't move forward and in the console I get the following error below. I do not have any issues with goto and reset, if the questionaire is not reacting to a JS event from the website it is embedded in.
What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Color a single word in a question - HTML tag is buggy

I'm trying to highlight a single word in a question like so:

*html
    Please read the following passage and answer the associated question:

    Tatyana knew that Grandma always enjoyed serving an abundance of food to her guests. Now Tatyana watched as Grandma gathered Tatyana's small mother into a wide, scrawny embrace and then propelled <span style="color:red;">her</span> to the table, lifting her shawl from her shoulders, seating her in the place of honor, and saying simply: "There's plenty."

When I preview the study, nothing appears. Something only appears if I use an HTML tag immediately after the *html keyword. For example:

*html
    <h3> Please read the following passage and answer the associated question: </h3>

Now Tatyana watched as Grandma gathered Tatyana's small mother into a wide, scrawny embrace and then propelled <span style="color:red;">her</span> to the table, lifting her shawl from her shoulders, seating her in the place of honor, and saying simply: "There's plenty."

Now, all of a sudden, I can see the HTML content. However, now, all the text after the span tag doesn't appear for me. What is the right way of coloring a single word while preserving the rest of the prompt?

Receiving a variable through a custom event

Hi all,
I am quite a newbie in programming and am stuck. Maybe one of you very kind people could help me.
I am trying to integrate Guidedtrack in a website builder tool (wix) via an iframe and would also like the website to be able to exchange data with Guidedtrack. I already managed to send data from the website to the html element that the iframe is embedded in.
However, I am not sure how to passe the data on to Guidedtrack. I was looking at the custom *events function in the manual but don't really understand how to implement it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RKblBEwG7BrMMeTXFITSNDJQsszHotqaE_q-E9q0QHA/view#heading=h.6ne8k44qlu4

Can someone show me in an example how that works? I don't have any knowledge of Javascript and am trying to figure out everything while doing. Thanks a lot!

What's the easiest way to get a pdf of the survey?

Is there a way to easily get a pdf/print of the survey, like in Qualtrics?

https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-tools/print-survey/

It would be helpful so that the survey questions can be easily shared. Thanks.

show a tip for an question only after a specified time has passed

So I want to have a question but want to display text under the question, but display it only
after 5 minutes have passed. It's for a digital escape room game, where my students are supposed to think about the answer before receiving a hint.
The way it is now, anything under the question will not be displayed until an answer is submitted.
I don't quite get how you can use maintain to do what I'd like to do.
I could use wait after the question, but not before the question, because then the question won't be displayed.
Any ideas?

Here's my code (I don't get why when I paste the code from my program, the indentations don't show):

*label: question1

>>answer = "wrong"
*while: answer = "wrong"

*question: What's the answer to everything?
	*type: number
	42
		>>answer = "correct"
		*goto: question2
	*other
		That's not yet correct.
		*goto: question1

*wait: 5.minutes
Here's a tip. It's an answer from Mr. Adams.

Built in way to highlight correct answer for quiz questions (applying css to classes dynamically)

I'd like to have a way for participants to get immediate feedback within the same page about whether or not they've gotten a question right by highlighting their answer as either green or red depending on if they got the answer right.

For example:

*question: Select Option 1
	1
	2
	*save: option

If they select option 2 their selected answer should turn red. If they selection option 1, their selected answer should turn green. My current approach is to transform the question into components and, if they get an answer right, to re-render the components on the next page with a green or a red class. This is somewhat clumsy and requires a bunch of if-statements a lot of text and another page load.

Is there a better way of doing this?

Loop through a set of questions until participant opts to exit study

Let's say I have a list of 15 questions which I want to show to a participant one at a time. However, before each question I want to ask the participant if they'd like to answer another question from that set or if they'd like to exit the study. If the participant indicates they'd like to answer a question, one question should be randomly taken from the list and shown to the participant. This loop should continue until the participant has exhausted the questions available or until the participant says indicates he'd like to leave the study.

So, for example, a participant would be asked the following

*question: Would you like to answer one more question?
	Yes, show me one question
	No, I'd like to end the study
	*save: question_decision

If Yes --> Pull a question from a list of questions and add one to counter. If No --> Exit Study.

I imagine this has to be done with a collection and
goto
and
label
statements which loop until the value of
question_decision
is "No." However, I couldn't figure out how to randomly pull a question and its associated answer choices for the purpose of this task. Any thoughts?

summary by answers

I am making my survey and I have a question about generating a report for the user.

I want to be able to feedback to the user when they finish the survey, highlighting all the questions where they gave a particular answer for a number of multiple-choice questions. I.e., where a user answers "strongly agree" to any of these questions, I want these questions to be highlighted for them at the end.

I am able to tag questions(as per the 'summarizing entered data' section of your handbook, however, I want to be able to tag specific answers (multiple choice) instead of the questions.

Print collection as list

How do I output a collection variable (with unknown size) as a list? When I just write
{myCollection}
in the text, items are comma separated. I want them as individual list items. Since the size is unknown, I can't simply use
*list
with
{myCollection[1]}
etc. because I would need a dynamic number of lines for this. Haven't found a way yet to make lists with dynamic length.
